Liquid products are increasingly fed to production processes directly from the transport container. The importance of homogeneity of the product in the transport container is also increasing with this trend. FLUKO SMEC Container stirrers are the economical solution for homogenisation of products in 1000 litre IBC transport containers. In preparation for further processing or to reverse sedimentaion after transport, the easy-to-use and robust SMEC container stirrers have been ensuring a consistant product quality for our customers and proving their worth and flexibility year in, year out, in industrial environments.
FLUKO GMEC Container stirrers are desigend for stirring middle viscosity liquids up to 6000 mPas and consist of a robust geared motor coupled directly to a stirrer shaft and depending on the model, 1 or 2 folding propellers The shaft and propellers are made of AISI 316Ti grade corrosion resistant stainless steel. The mounting brace for the stirrers is made of AISI304 grade stainless steel and is can be fixed to all brands of IBC container quickly and without tools. Electric drives at and above 0.75 kW are supplied in the IE2 energy efficiency standard. All of the FLUKO stirrers are designed for continual use in rugged industrial applications.
The PMGEC pneumatic container stirrer is designed like the GMEC but with a 1 kW pneumatic motor, the speed can be varied by throttling the air flow. For applications in hazardous areas, the GMEC and the PMGEC are available in an ATEX version for zones 1 and 2.
FLUKO SMEC container stirrers can be delivered with Halar® E-CTFE or PVDF coated stirrer shafts and propellers for use with highly corrosive products. To make the handling of the stirrers easier, optional crane lashes or fork-lift sleeves can be ordered for the stirrer traverse. We strongly recommend the optional motor overload protection switch to prevent motor damage and to provide a safe switching possibilty. The switch is equipped with a low-voltage shut off to prevent unexpected starting after plugging in the stirrer. The motor switch is also equipped with 5 m cable, a CEE plug and is mounted on the traverse
