Zanelli Iridium Line Planetary Mixer / Disperser

The Zanelli Iridium Line is a kneader/disperser with a planetary movement. It has electrical motors complete with frequency inverters up to 220 kW. It has one mixing shaft with inclined flaps (kneaders) with continuously variable speed; one dispersing shaft with a toothed type impeller with continuously variable speed and one rotating scraper with continuously variable speed. This machine is suitable to mix products having a high viscosity up to about 5.000.000cP. The movable vessel maximum capacity is up to 1700 litres.

PLANETARY MIXER/DISPERSER UNDER VACUUM, IRIDIUM LINE, MODEL BIRG WITH ROTATING SCRAPER

Main transmission mixing shaft Main electric motor with frequency converter (inverter). The power transmission between the electric motor and mixing shaft occurs by means of gear box coupled to pulleys and belts with profiles and suitable dimensions.

Main transmission dispersing shaft Main electric motor with frequency converter (inverter). The power transmission between the electric motor and the mixing shaft occurs by means of pulleys and belts with profiles and suitable dimensions.

Auxiliary Hydraulic Power Pack Hydraulic power pack positioned in the machine structure, complete with an electric motor, coupling strainer, coupling, pump, solenoid valves, oil level, vent, drain cock and safety devices. The power pack actuates the hydraulic cylinder, complete with safety lock valve. The cylinder is placed in the centre of the two fixed columns and is suitable to lift up the entire mixing group.

Planetary Box The planetary box is composed of shafts and gears that allow the rotation of more shafts simultaneously, beyond its own rotation. The high ration power-weight and the compact dimensions, ensure the application of high powers on tools, in relatively small spaces. New criteria have been used to substantially improve noise levels. The spur gears are with rectified helicoidal profile, after heat treatment on the external part, meanwhile, they are with a spline profile in the internal part of shrinking of the transmission shafts and are made of hardened and tempered steel. All the gears have been designed and tested according to the ISO 6336 and ISO 10330 Standards. The transmission shafts are constructed with an external splined profile (coupling with a toothed wheel) and with an internal grooved profile (coupling with tool). The planetary box is driven in an independent way, by means of an electric gearmotor. The planetary box is closed on the bottom part, the one in contact with the product, by means of a removable casing, in AISI 304 stainless steel.

Mixing tools The mixing shaft, with inclined flaps, built-in AISI 304 stainless steel, can be removed quickly and easily. The bottom scraper in AISI 304 stainless steel, fixed on the bottom part of the mixing shaft, is complete with an interchangeable Teflon blade. The change in speed of the mixing shaft is obtained by means of an electronic system complete with frequency drive (inverter) that grants a wide range of speeds available and in particular a high torque even at medium/low speeds. A dispersion shaft in AISI 304 stainless steel, balanced with an adequate taper on the edge, in order to ensure the elimination of vibrations even in the most critical stages of processing and at high-speed rates. The dispersion tool, supplied with the machine, is a toothed impeller with an easy fixing to the shaft, easy to replace.

Rotating scraper group The rotation of the scraper is obtained through the rotation of the planetary box itself. The scraper group consists of sturdy flanged support, built-in AISI 304 stainless steel, tubular shape, to which a lateral scraping blade is fixed, made of AISI 304 stainless steel, complete with an interchangeable screwed Teflon profile.

Mixing vessel Vessel made of AISI 304 stainless steel. AISI 304 stainless steel reinforcement top ring. Intermediate band, in AISI 304 stainless steel, with fixings to support basement. Vessel with rounded bottom and connected to vertical plating. Discharge in the central part.

Frame The structure of the machine, called a frame, is composed of sturdy construction in carbon steel, treated with two-component epoxy paint. It is complete with a base plate with suitable holes for fixing to the floor, by means of chemical anchors brackets. Two columns, complete with sliding bushings, are fixed to the side of the structure and house two mobile columns, coated with rectified hard-chrome, wear-resistant. This technical solution gives a high strength to the machine, even in the most critical phases of the production cycle, minimizing vibrations.
