About Mass Transfer Systems
Since 1984, Mass Transfer Systems (MTS) has been supplying jet aeration and mixing systems to industries and municipalities in UK and throughout the world. The majority of our product consist of "engineered systems" for biological and other waste treatment processes and a variety of industrial mixing applications. In 1995, MTS began offering a product line of submersible self-aspirating aerators to provide oxygen for both municipal and industrial biological and other waste treatment processes. The submersible self-aspirating aerator does not require a forced air system (ie. blowers) and is easily installed into existing treatement tanks with little or no modification to the tank.
Engineering ExperienceOur talented, experienced professionals support our product line from our USA headquarters located in Walpole, Massachusetts. MTS employs degreed engineers in environmental, chemical, and mechanical disiplines to review applications, design systems, and provide customer support.
The MTS AdvantageMTS has complete control over the manufacture of the in-tank components for our jet aeration and jet mixing systems starting with the raw materials. Our Denmark, South Carolina facility manufactures all of the individual components that make up a MTS jet aeration or jet mixing system, from the FRP pipe to the FRP fittings, to the jet nozzles. Our Ramsey, New Jersey facility manufactures all of our stainless steel components, from custom brackets to standard manifold supports. Not being dependent on sub-suppliers for the individual components of our systems provides MTS with a distinct advantage with respect to quality, delivery, and price.
Bi-Directional Jet AeratorsThe Mass Transfer Systems bi-directional jet aerators are designed with jet aeration nozzles installed on both sides of the liquid / air jet aeration manifold. This configuration is most applicable for square or rectanglular tanks, larger lagoons, and sequence batch reactors where directional flow patterns are not desired.
Directional Jet Manifold AeratorsThe Mass Transfer Systems directional jet aerators are designed with jet aeration nozzles installed on only side of the liquid / air jet aeration manifold. This configuration is most applicable for round tanks, lagoons, and ditches where directional flow patterns can be achieved to aid in the mixing of the tank contents.
Radial Jet Pod AeratorsThe Mass Transfer Systems radial jet pod aerators are designed with jet aeration nozzles installed around the circumference of an integral liquid / air pod body. This configuration is most applicable for smaller round and square tanks and sequence batch reactors where directional flow patterns are not desirable.
Retrievable Jet Aeration Skids
Where aeration is required and the process tank cannot be emptied in order to install a traditional jet aeration system, Mass Transfer Systems offers skid mounted wet installed retrievable jet aeration systems. The systems can utilize a submersible pump mounted on the retrievable skid or a dry pit pump mounted outside of the tank.
Rotating EquipmentIn addition to designing and supplying jet aeration equipment, our engineers have extensive experience and knowledge of sizing and specifying the liquid recirculation pumps and air blowers required for the operation of jet aeration systems. MTS can provide price quotes for the supply of the rotating equipment or we can provide technical assistance for sizing and selecting the best suited rotating equipment for the specific application.
Liquid Recirculation Pumps
Mass Transfer Systems offers a variety of liquid recirculation pumps, from dry pit centrifugal to wet installed submersible to dry pit installed submersible. We can provide the pumps as part of our package or we can provide technical assistance in the selection of the best fit pump for the system.
Mass Transfer Systems offers the air blowers for the aeration systems. The bulk of the blowers normally supplied are either multi-stage cetrifugal or positive displacement blowers. As with the pumps, MTS can provide the pumps as part of our package or we can provide technical assistance in the selection of the best fit blowers for the project.
