Planetary movement of the kneading blades (red – central blade, green: planetary blade): Both blades rotate around their axis. The counter-rotating ratio of the central and planetary blade is fixed. In addition, the planetary blade revolves around the central blade. In this visualisation of the blade movement, the central blade is shown in a fixed, non-rotating position. Our vertical kneading machines work according to the planetary principle. The gear system is a proprietary development of iTec swiss. It works as precisely as a Swiss clockwork with a double rotation. In that way, the entire mixing chamber is seized by the blades and the mixing good is processed effectively without dead volume. Furthermore, the gap between the pair of kneading blades and the trough causes a decreasing compression and shear forces.
