High-visibilty warning clothing improves safety in work zones especially in darkness. Retroreflective materials have to fulfil performance limits to the coefficient of retroreflection R_A of traffic signs and the coefficient of retroreflection R' of safety garments which are defined within international standards.

Retroreflectometer ZDR 6020 R_L

With unique features for efficient, continuous measurement of night visibility (R_L) of road markings at normal traffic speed without obstructing the traffic.

Several data are recorded at the same time: GPS coordinates, ambient temperature (^oC/^oF), relative humidity (rH%), driven average speed, picture, voice recording, as well as date and time.
The ZDR 6020 can be used for longer road distances than portable devices as well as in safety particularly on motorways.

Readings of road markings under continuous wetting using a rain simulator can be taken while stationary.

In accordance with EN 1436 (for R_L), ASTM E 1710 (for R_L), ASTM E 2177 (for R_Lwet), as well as ASTM E 2176 while stationary (for R_L) with continuous wetting).

Road Markings Retroreflectometer

New Retroreflectometer for determination of day and night visibility of road markings and profile markings up to 5mm in one instrument. Designed to comply with BSEN 1436 and international requirements, the ZRM 6014+ Retroreflectometer RL simulates the conditions under which road marking strips are seen at night by a motorist driving with dipped lights. The same unit under day visibility (Qd) mode simulates similarly the day visibility of road markings. Now measures and records temperature and humidity.
