Rotor Stator Dispersers

A rotor-stator disperser is made up of a rotating rotor and a stationary stator. The rotor generates centrifugal force, which causes the sample to pass through a small opening in the stator. Turbulence, cavitation, and scissor action all contribute to shear force. The rotor rotates at a high speed to produce the greatest shear force and is best suited for low viscosity liquids.
