X-ray Fluorescence Analyser

INVOeco offers an universal X-ray analyser for coating thickness - and material analysis at a very reasonable price/performance ratio. Due to the Xray excitation from 'bottom to top' the positioning of the samples is quick and simple. Just place the sample on the Mylar foil for examination. A colour video microscope indicates the spot position, even for small details. This sample positioning arrangement is very well suited for the analysis of flat samples, like contacts, small PCB’s, or metalpieces of all kinds. Besides this, liquids and powders, placed in a sample container, could be perfectly analysed as well. Short distances from the sample to the detector result in a high counrate for short measuring times (a few seconds) with good accuracy.

Our approved system operation software X-MasteR is used for the evaluation of the X-ray spectra. A comprehensive library of software tools is available, like µ-Master for coatings (up to 4 layers or multi-alloy layers, Element-MasteR and %-MasteR for bulk and liquid samples.

The Compact 5/PIN offers a universal material and coating thickness analyser at a reasonable price/performance ratio. The use of a high resolution Silicon Semiconductor detector makes the Compact 5/PIN an ideal tool for users who want best limits of detection and highest precision together with maximum flexibility.

Compared with a conventional prop.-counter the the Semiconductor detector offers about 4 times better energy resolution. This gives much better separation of overlapping elements. The much higher peak/background ratio of the detector allows the analysis of very thin coatings, about 10 times thinner as so far possible. A very comprehensive library of software tools allows the analysis of bulk as well as liquid samples (plating bath). Multiple layer coatings on complex base materials can be analysed as well. This makes the Compact 5/PIN the ideal tool for the electronic industry.

The maXXi 5/PIN offers a universal material and coating thickness analyser at a reasonable price/performance ratio. The use of a high resolution Silicon semiconductor makes the maXXi 5/PIN an ideal tool for users who want to have best limits of detectyion and the highest precision. The better detector resolution together with a higher signal-to-noise ratio allows the analysis of thinner, complex coatings, like for instance on solar panels.

A variety of sample stages allows the adaptation of the maXXi 5/PIN to customers' needs and budgets. A very comprehensive library of software tools allows the anlaysis of bulk as well as liquid samples (from Z = 20/Ca). Multiple layer alloy coatings on complex base materials can be analysed as well. This makes the maXXi 5/PIN the ideal universal tool for quality control, incoming inspection and the laborartory.

The size of the analyzed spot on the sample is minimized by the use of X-ray optics, possible spotsizes range from 20 µm to 300 µm.

A X-ray capillary lens collects a large amount of tube radiation and focuses the X-rays to the analysis area, thus providing a higher precision of analysis in spite of the use of a low power X-ray tube.

The advantages of Eagle III µ-Probe are obvious:

• Due to a high peak to backround ratio limits of detection are 10 - 50 ppm
• Non destructive analysis even of irregular shaped samples by means of the small size of the excited area.
• Large sample chamber for voluminous samples
• Analysis in air or gas atmosphere (He) is possible, so organic or liquid samples can be analyzed for elements down to phosphoros
• Flexible adjustment of the size of the excited area with „VariSpot” or by easy changing of the capillary optics.
